        • Steel Valley Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.

As covenant members of Steel Valley Church, we promise to the striving toward the following biblical imperatives:

Develop and practice of personal and family spiritual disciplines.

          Participate regularly in corporate worship.

Maintain a lifestyle that is consistent with Scripture in life and social media Protect sound biblical doctrine among leaders and church members.

Accountable relationships with other believers for the purpose of ongoing discipleship and mutual growth.

Commitment to one another in charity, prayer, service, honor, support, forgiveness, reconciliation, and all other forms of Christ-likeness. Preserve church unity in matters of non-essential beliefs or preferential matters.

Submission to the biblical leadership of the church and support of the church’s leaders in prayer.

Serve and willingly pursue opportunities to serve in and through Steel Valley Church, especially in the use of one’s spiritual gifts.

Give generously and consistently to the support of the church in a manner that reflects the generosity shown to us in the gospel.

With the Lord’s help, we agree to uphold this covenant and commit ourselves to the work of the gospel alongside every church member as co-laborers (Elders, Deacons, and Members).
