What to Expect?

At Steel Valley Church, we love God and we love preaching God’s Word. Because of these truths, we also love people. Our mission is to advance the gospel in our community, and we believe that we can do this through a variety of ways. We gather. We worship. We preach. We love. We equip. We send. Then, we repeat.

We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we want to make your first visit as worry-free as possible. Here is what you can typically expect with us at Steel Valley…

SERVICE TIMES

We currently have one service at 10:30am.

CHURCH CULTURE

We are multi-generational and diverse body of church members & regular attendees.

BEFORE THE SERVICE

We invite you to hang out and enjoy a cup of our locally owned and roasted Culturehouse Coffee Company. While you enjoy a cup of coffee, feel free to discover some new relationships and meet some friendly folks. We also invite you to use this time to visit our Resource Center by our main entrance where you will have access to free resources.

KIDS

Our kid’s ministry currently meets in the lower level. Kids are welcome to join their parents or attend kid’s church (ages 6mo-10yr). The mom’s room will be open for moms who need it.

MUSIC

The musicians will lead us in 3-5 Gospel centered songs. The emphasis at Steel Valley worship services is not about creating a moment of feeling, but rather a moment of truth that is centered on Jesus and focused on His work. We love to sing praises to God and sing about who He is as revealed to us in the Bible.

MESSAGE

A pastor will talk a lot about Jesus from the Bible, who He is, what He's done and how He still impacts our lives today. The goal for every message is that the Bible uses the pastor to preach it's message, not the pastor using the Bible to preach his message. We use the English Standard Version of the Bible. If you don't have that version we'll give you a free one as our gift so you can follow along.

AFTERWARDS

After 65-75 minutes we’ll wrap things up. Stay as long as you desire, and grab another cup of coffee for the road. If you have any questions about the message, what we believe, or ways to get plugged in and serve, please feel free to speak with the pastor preaching or other leaders within the church building.
